Understanding Shipping Costs

Transparent logistics, fairly shared

How Couriers Price Shipping

International couriers charge based on whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is calculated from package dimensions, meaning lightweight but bulky items can cost more to ship than heavier compact items.

Polo mallets are a perfect example. Their length makes them oversized shipments, often triggering special handling fees regardless of how light they are.

Brand Differences

Each brand has its own shipping rates, packaging methods, and courier partnerships. Some offer flat rates, while others calculate shipping based on volumetric size rather than item value. We work directly with the brand’s actual invoiced shipping costs, with no markups.

The Two Bucket Approach

Standard Items

Apparel, helmets, boots, and similar items share shipping costs proportionally based on order value. Larger orders contribute more, smaller orders less.

Mallets and Oversized Items

Due to their volumetric nature, mallet shipping costs are driven by item count rather than value. Each additional mallet contributes a similar amount to the total shipping cost.

Shipping Savings Visual
Disclaimer: The figures shown are illustrative examples based on typical shipping behaviour. Actual item prices, shipping fees, and savings may vary by brand, supplier, courier, destination, packaging, and prevailing rates. This tool is intended to demonstrate the relative impact of consolidated shipping and should not be relied on as a guarantee of final costs.

Shipping gets cheaper per item when you consolidate

How savings are calculated: Savings = (Qty × Shipping at Qty 1) − Shipping at selected Qty. If Qty 1 is selected, savings is shown as 0 (baseline).
